In August 2002, Southern Bohemia was affected by extremely heavy rainfall, which lasted for two weeks. The Prague metro system was flooded. This paper will mainly concentrate on the identification of the problems that influenced the flooding; on the different geological structures and also on the tunnel lining stability.
