Original language description
The article deals with the problems of the failure mechanism and the load-bearing capacity of masonry barrel vault structures strengthened with fabric of carbon fibres and additionally inserted helical reinforcement of high-strength steel. The article presents partial results of experimental research of segmental barrel vaults (Witzany et al., 2008) whose objective also included new knowledge about the effect of their rise or initial geometric and shape imperfections and masonry heterogeneity on the load-bearing capacity, deformation and failure of strengthened segmental barrel vaults loaded by a pair of concentrated symmetrically arranged vertical forces.

Článek pojednává o problematice mechanismu porušování a únosnosti valených segmentových zděných kleneb zesílených uhlíkovou (CFRP) tkaninou a dodatečně do drážek vkládanou kroucenou výztuží z vysokopevnostní oceli. Článek prezentuje výsledky experimentálního výzkumu a numerických analýz.
