Adaptive Analysis of RC Frames with Microplane Joints

  • Original language description

This thesis attempts to apply microplane material model in analysis of reinforcement concrete two-dimensional frames. The microplane model is a general constitutive fully three-dimensional model capable to describe nonlinear behaviour of concrete very accurately. However, wider usage of this model is not possible because of high computational cost. That is why the author of this work proposed adaptive approach which is able to decrease computational demands related with this material model. The dm-adaptivity is employed in this approach. It means that the dimension of finite elements and utilised material model on the element is adaptively changed during analysis. Thanks to the utilised hybrid geometry the frame can be modelled by one-dimensional finite elements (1D segment) and three-dimensional finite elements (3D segment) at the same time. Microplane material model is utilised for 3D segments only. For 1D segments pseudo-microplane material model was proposed.

Adaptivní analýza železobetonových rámových konstrukcí s microplane styčníky
