Energy consumption became lately the central theme of nearly all human activity. The same situation is in the building industry. The question is both how much energy is consumed for building construction including energy demand for construction materials(so called Life Cycle Analysis) and energy needed for building operation. The main part of energy consumption of housing building falls on heating. Considering the long life time of buildings, it is important not forget to incorporate the future developments in the phase of building heating system design. The basic condition is to lower the whole energy demand, but except the zero energy houses the energy demand will never be null. All the more important is the manner of supply of remaining energy demand. From the economic point of view the future costs on heating will be markedly influenced by the chosen type of fuel.
