    Formulation of Gypsum Foam Materials

  • Original language description

The main objective of this research work was to formulate the composite material on the base of the chemically foamed gypsum. In the first, theoretical part the gypsum, as a building material is described, its production, properties and application. Thehigher attention is paid to the lightweight gypsum and to the possibilities for its lightening. By sequential simplex optimization and one- and two factorial analyses the foamed gypsum material with suitable properties was formulated. Best foaming results were achieved with the calcium carbonate and the aluminium sulphate. Produced mixtures had suitable bulk density and good mechanical and thermal properties, This composite can be used as a fireproof or thermal insulating layer.
