Mechanical Studies of FRC Involving Pore Pressure at Elevated Temperature
Original language description
Extensive use of fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) as structural material has led to the need of full understanding of the effects of pore pressure in cured concrete, namely when considering fire influence on both concrete and reinforcement. The influenceof extremely elevated temperature to the behavior of FRC can be derived from chemical and mechanical analyses. Here we prevailingly concentrate on mechanical behavior, mainly on the influence of changes of pore pressure in heated concrete blocks. The fibers considered in the present study are prepared from basalt and hemp in such a way that their structure is extremely smooth, and they are composed of the minerals plagioclase, pyroxene, and olivine.
