Fibre concrete utilization in waffle floor structures
Original language description
Development of sustainable material effective structure is based on effort to reduce primary non-renewable material consumption. The aim of the research is to verify the potential design of slender waffle or rib floor structures with minimized thicknessof upper slab (up to 30 mm). The slab of this size can not be effectively reinforced by conventional reinforcement thus the possible usage of fibre concrete is being verified. The tests showed that similar results can be achieved by combination of longerfibres with concrete with lower bearing capacity as well as by combination of shorter fibres with lower tensile strength with concrete with higher load bearing capacity.
