Original language description

Snow scale is designed for weighting the snow cover to determine the snow water equivalent. It consists of waterproof wooden construction plywood board, rectangular steel frame support with three attached loading cells. These are equipped with bearings to prevent additional forces when shrinking. Bearings stay at the support wooden/metallic plates to spread the load into wider area. Loading cells are excited from CR23X Campbell Scientific datalogger via AM 16/32 multiplexor. The snow scale is equipped with the gutter to collect melting snow and divert it to the tipping bucket flowmeter, which pulses are read in CR23X via SDM-SW8 multiplexor. The capacity for the scale is approximately 700 mm of water in snow.
