Original language description
The oldest preserved maps of the Czech historical lands come from 16th and 17th centuries - a comparison of selected map symbols used on the investigated old maps of Bohemia (of Claudianus, Criginger, Aretin, Vogt) and of Moravia and Silesia (of Fabricius, Kaerius, Comenius, Coronelli, Helwig). The aim is to identify and assess the regularities in successive evolution of cartographic language of these maps, dated before the famous Müller's mapping in 18th century.
