Original language description
The paper deals with energy efficient buildings, briefly defines their features, requirements, gives an information of what has the most influence on energy need for heating and presents the main classification of these buildings. The necessity of a different way designing these buildings, so-called integrated design is outlined. The point of design and energy assessment in variants is given too. The second part of the article shows an example of variant calculations of energy need for heating and the summer overheating risk assessment in the initial stage of the sports complex design, when with respect to the documentation stage there was not enough information and therefore all the input data was not known. Furthermore, it allowed for the results toinfluence decisions in subsequent design stages.
