Fire-spread at all-glass facades with double-glazing units
Original language description
Existing statistical data about fire in buildings of residential and civic constructions lead to the increase of attention to the design of all-glass facades which used to be the most often reason of fire spread in consequence of glass panel-cracking andfree rise of flames into higher storey. Therefore this paper is focused on the one hand on factors influencing fire spread along façade, on the other hand on application of mathematical modeling for the optimum selection of double glazing unite for glass panels of light claddings.
