Book deals with analysis of fire, fire loading, fire safety solution of buildings, behaviour of the most applied materials in fire and their protection, fire resistance of dilatation joints, some system and elements ensuring improvement of fire protection of buildings structures, problem of fire liquidation in tall and hall buildings and fire safety equipments. This publication also analyses influence of claddings on the course of temperatures from fire, limit stress-state and damage - degree of reinforced concrete and wooden surfaces in consequence of fire and panel buildings from fire safety point of view.

Kniha se zabývá rozborem požárů, požárním zatížením, požární legislativou, požárně bezpečnostním řešením staveb, chováním nejpoužívanějších materiálů v ohni a jejich ochranou, protipožární odolností dilatačních spár, některými systémy a prvky zajišťujícími zlepšení protipožární ochrany stavebních konstrukcí, problémy likvidace požáru ve výškových a halových objektech a požárně bezpečnostním zařízením. Dále analyzuje vliv obvodových plášťů na průběh teplot od požáru, mezní napjatost a míru poškození povrchů železobetonových a dřevěných konstrukcí vlivem ohně a panelové objekty z hlediska požární bezpečnosti.
