Using the Spherical Harmonic Analysis and the Advancing Front Technique for the Discretization of 3D Aggregate Particles

  • Original language description

The paper deals with the algorithm for the discretization of three-dimensional aggregate particles. A smooth representation of the particle surface is derived from its initial voxel-based representation using the spherical harmonic analysis. The smooth surface is then subjected to the triangulation using the advancing front technique. The obtained boundary mesh is then used for the tetrahedrization of the particle, also using the advancing front technique.
