Multiscale simulation of fracturing braided composites via repetitive unit cells
Original language description
Multiscale simulations were carried out to predict the fracture energy and the effective length of process zone of 2DTBCs. These parameters are well manifested through the size effect law, which is calibrated here from peak loads of self-similar notched beams. A "concurrent" multiscale simulation was implemented to tackle this problem in the OOFEM code.
