Original language description

The solving of current brownfields problems, i.e. revitalization of ravaged and abandoned areas and buildings, and suburbanization ones, i.e. the spatial expansion of cities into the surrounding natural and rural landscapes, requires an effective strategic, legal, legislative and program framework. The following documents are relevant in the Czech Republic: Sustainable Development Strategy of CR, Regional Development Strategy of CR, Region Development Policy of CR, State Environmental Policy of CR and National Strategy of Brownfields Regeneration. Their analysis revealed both the recommendation for further exploitation and suggestions for further legal instruments and measures.
