    Coupled water and chloride transport in lime-based plaster with metakaolin addition is investigated in the conditions of one-sided sodium-chloride-in-water solution uptake. For the experiment with dry specimens, experimentally determined NaCl concentration profiles and moisture profiles are used for identification of chloride diffusion coefficient and moisture diffusivity on the basis of inverse analysis using the diffusion-advection model. From the experiment with water-saturated specimens, chloride diffusion coefficient is calculated using a diffusion model and taking into account chloride bonding on the pore walls. The chloride diffusion coefficients determined from the experiment with dry and water-saturated specimens are compared, and the differences are discussed.
