Tools for modeling fluid-structure interaction via Lagrangian FEM
Original language description
This paper deals with the description and implementation of tools necessary for performing a fluid-structure interaction analysis. First, different approaches in modeling of fluid flow are outlined. In particular, particle finite element method based onLagrangian formulation is considered. Delaunay triangulation done by incremental Bowyer/Watson algorithm was chosen as a suitable meshing method. A pilot implementation of the code is illustrated on several examples. Recently, the performance of the meshgenerator has been improved by employing an octree based data search and the generator has been fully implemented in the finite element package OOFEM as an integral part of a fluid-structure interaction (FSI) solver.
