Generation of Strut-and-tie Model of Reinforced Concrete Variable Height Beam with the Use of Liang's Optimization Method

Result description

In the paper, the application of Liang's performance based optimization method for automatic generating strut-and-tie models of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures is presented. The method is demonstrated on an example of a reinforced concretevariable height beam. The optimal strut-and-tie model obtained by the optimization method is compared with the traditional model, which can be found in literature.
