Comparison of Static and Dynamic Young's Modulus of Gypsum Blocks
Original language description
The paper presents comparison of results of two methods for Young's modulus evaluation of gypsum blocks. The dynamic Young's modulus was calculated based on the measured natural frequencies of longitudinal vibration of the gypsum blocks. The excitation was done by the impact hammer and the response was measured by piezoelectric acceleration transducer. Natural frequencies were evaluated from resonant peaks of Frequency Response Functions (FRF). Then the standard destructive compression tests were done.At the end of the paper, the results of comparison of static and dynamic Young's moduli are summarized.
