Macroscopic Properties of Particle Models: Uniaxial Tension
Original language description
3D particle model consisting of spherical particles with uniform radius connected with nonlinear links (with damage in tension and plasticity in shear) is investigated in this contribution. Principal aspects of the calibration procedure (finding relationships between parameters of individual links and macroscopic behavior) using periodic boundary conditions are presented using a simple example of uniaxial tension. Effects of particle size, cell size and mutual position of load and periodic cell are alsodiscussed.
