The aim of the paper is to introduce the reader to the fundamental principles of the numerical modelling of sheeting walls using finite element method. The example of sheeting wall is the representative only, but it accounts main problems that need to besolved. The main attention is paid to the interaction between sheeting wall and surrounding soils and to the anchorage system. The GEO5 FEM software developed by company FINE Ltd. was used in this study.
