Cement Pastes Prepared from CEM II: Measuring the Creep

Material properties give a possibility of mathematical modeling the material. Creep of cement paste is possible integrate into the basic properties, which is important not only for modeling, but for design of structures, too. In the paper are described experimental results of measuring of the cement pastes creep. For measuring was used the cement CEM II and prepared pastes with water cement ratio from 0.3 to 0.5. Creep of pastes was measured on water saturated and water dried specimens. Shrinkage of different cement pastes was measured, too. Mechanical properties of pastes were measured after finishing of creep tests. Dimensions of cylindrical specimens were 10mm in diameter and 70 mm in length. Cylinders were tested in the special creep test equipmentand in the electromechanical testing equipment for the uniaxial compression tests. History of creep, material properties, history of specimens were used like an inputs for simulation by finite element method.
