Original language description
Ecological bridges are built to mitigate negative aspects of transportation infrastructure on biotopes, mainly to mitigate the effect of habitat fragmentation and to increase the safety of traffic. The paper presents construction systems of ecological bridges which can be built with minimal impacts to the operation of motorway. The structural description is accompanied by summarization of the specifics of the construction and demands on traffic limitations. The specifics of accelerated construction arestudied for buried arch structures. The method of centre-line optimization of buried arch bridges is introduced and applied on a real ecological bridge. The soil-structure interaction is studied together with its impact on structural arrangement.
