Original language description
The program "msh2wrl" functions as direct conversion between formats MSH and VRML. MSH is an inner Leica Cyclone software format for triangulated irregular network - TIN. VRML is well known rich format for Virtual Reality Modeling which can be used alsofor TIN description. VRML is wide spread format. MSH is used only by Leica Cyclone software. Leica Cyclone doesn't support any other mesh format. The only exchangeable Leica Cyclone mesh format is so called COE. There is a COE format plug-in for AutoCADand Microstation, but this conversion can be used only for limited size meshes due element number limitations of AutoCAD and Microstation. AutoCAD and Microstation are usable for meshes with maximum hundred thousand triangles, but are not suitable for meshes from laserscanning with tens of million or more triangles. The program can be used for unlimited size files due memory saving architecture. The only file size limitation is caused by operating system.
