Original language description
Industrial heritage has become a valued part of cultural heritage in regions with industrial history. It has become discussed topic in countries with industrial tradition, where production has abandoned the lands. All around the world, there are some cases of industrial heritage conservation or adaptation. Reusing the industrial past phenomenon has spread out just as industrial revolution formerly, from Great Britain and the Continent to the rest of the world. As a result of the historical circumstances, industrial heritage has got the global aspects. On the other hand, last conference on this topic - "Reusing the Industrial Past" in August 2010 in Tampere - brought various experiences depending on traditions, economy, political system etc.
