Our team has the task of monitoring deformations in the areas in Norhern Bohemia: on the waste dumps and some exposed places suspected of deformations. There are two parts of the project: first, we try to map deformations using the imagery acquired in 1990s by ERS-1/2. The area is coherent only partially and therefore it is difficult to get satisfactory results. Except for the temporal and perpendicular baselines, coherence is also influenced by other factors (weather, Doppler centroid), and therefore some interferograms are completely decorrelated, even if they have suitable temporal and perpendicular baselines. The second project is aimed at deformation monitoring nowadays. Eleven places were selected which are important to monitor, and large artificial reflectors were constructed and installed on them, rolled up to be scanned by ERS-2 and ENVISAT on the descending track n. 394. Unfortuntaly, no results are yet available for this project due to the lack of the ENVISAT data.
