Composite steel and concrete truss girder
Original language description
The aim of this research is development and analysis of composite steel and concrete truss girder. The composite girders have been used both in civil and bridge engineering structures for decades. Nevertheless, their behaviour is not yet understood sufficiently. A dominant phenomenon for designing of the composite truss girder is distribution of the longitudinal shear force in shear connector elements along the girder span. Both elastic and plastic approaches may be used but in some cases the elastic one is a necessity. In this case the highly non-linear distribution and peaks of shear flow in the vicinity of truss nodes is of the highest interest. The contribution deals with approaches to designing of shear connection both in civil and bridges structures.
