Original language description
Poisson's ratio is one of the basic material characteristics. For some methods, e. g. nanoindentaion, the Poisson's ratio is one of the parameters, which are needed for calculation of Young's modulus for tested indented material. One possibility how to determine Poisson's ratio of the gypsum specimen is the use of nondestructive method based on resonant frequency measurement. The Poisson's ratio was determined for dental gypsum specimens made with six different water/gypsum ratios.
