Effect of Environmental Conditions on Service Life of Thermal Insulation Systems
Original language description
An assessment of the service life of several thermal insulation systems including their exteriér renders is performed using a combined computational-experimental approach. A diffusion type model is used for the description of coupled heat and moisture transport aimed at the identification of the number of frost cycles in a real structure under different climatic load. As boundary conditions, climatic data corresponding to typical years in Prague, Beijing and Harbin are applied. A set of computational simulations of hygrothermal conditions in the studied envelopes is done for different material compositions and different climates. The data analysis provides information on the most advantageous material composition with respect to the service life of thermal insulation systems including their exterior renders.
