The paper focuses on the analysis of shape characteristics of catchments for purposes of flood characteristics estimations. Average flow path and median overlad flow to closest stream channel have been included in the analysis together with shape factorwhic has been already used for given purpose in recent studies of the author. All three descriptors are compared in the paper.
