Laboratory and field data analysis focused on evaluation of preferential flow in soils at different spatial scales
Original language description
The paper presents partial results of a project that aims at the integration of experience and knowledge of the preferential flow phenomenon in soils. The research was performed at four different spatial scales; micro scale of a small undisturbed soil sample, scale of a large undisturbed soil sample, scale of a soil profile and a small catchment scale. The project methodology involved the use of advanced supporting technologies such as magnetic resonance imaging, electrical resistivity tomography, laserspectroscopy of stable isotopes in water or scanning electron microscopes.
