In the paper, authors' experiences with fire design of concrete structures according to European Standard EN 1992-1-2 are presented. An emphasis is placed on comparison of standard requirements, tabulated data and design aids with the results obtained bythe authors of this paper using numerical modelling and computer simulations. Some recommendations for future development of EN 1992-1-2 are also given.
