Detection of Outliers in the Adjustment of Accurate Geodetic Measurements
Original language description
The paper deals with the possibilities of automatic detection of outliers in adjustment of accurate terrestrial geodetic measurements, where a large number of redundant measurements is known. For automatic detection of outliers of measurements authors use the robust statistical methods based on the maximum likelihood method, so-called M-estimates. This paper describes originally designed experiment based on a model of geodetic network with ideal designed terrestrial geodetic measurements. Measurements of this ideal model (measurements fully correspond with the normal probability distribution) are first processed by least square method. In the next phase of the experiment the ideal measurements are disturbed by outliers and then are applied selected individual robust M-estimates. M-estimates are assessed according to their ability to detect outliers.
