Experimental analysis of salt binding in stone materials of historical masonry
Original language description
Experimental investigation of chloride ions binding in inner structure of stone materials of historical masonry is presented. Sandstone and argillite are chosen as typical representatives of historical masonry materials on Central Europe territory. The measurements are performed on adsorption principle, whereas the salt concentrations are measured using ion chromatography. Several types of salt solutions are used in order to study the effect of different cations on chloride binding.
