Every construction project faces uncertainties and it applies even more to tunnels as they are highly affected by hardly predictable geotechnical conditions. This study is focused on the prediction of risks ensued from these uncertainties during the construction phase of the tunnel. Other sorts of risks posing a threat to infrastructural projects, such as, e.g. the risks connected with financing, with public and political interests, or with operation and maintenance, are disregarded in what follows.
