    Material Properties of Unburned Loam

  • Original language description

    This paper presents results of the first part of a wider research of unburned clay materials in use as a construction material. The research of a fundamental properties included manufacturing and testing of 43 different sets of samples 40x40x160mm. Shrinkage and reaction on RH change are the most significant problems of loam in use as a construction material, especially when prefabrication is considered. Compressive, bending strength and strength growth were studied on different mixtures.
