Studies on the collection of undisturbed and heterogeneous soil sample
Original language description
This paper presents a method of collecting large undisturbed soil samples for laboratory studies. The sampling method was based on the use of hydraulic jack anchored by triplet of ground screws. Part of the sample treatment is also sealing the space between soil and inner surface of the plastic sampling tube, using custom-made hydraulic jack based extruder. Sample walls sealing was realized using silicone sealant to reduce possible bypass flow. The sampling procedure is presented on example of soil fromexperimental site in Jizera Mountains, Czech Republic. The soil sample was taken from B horizon and presents a soil with broad size distribution.
