Windows and Shading in Terms of Energy Balance - Context and Design for Houses with Different Parameters
Original language description
Energy performance of a building is influenced a lot by its envelope. Both glazed and opaque components of the building envelope affect both side of thermal balance - gains as well as losses. It depends on many other factors, specifically what will be their influence. Therefore, it can not be generally and clearly said how the constituent elements of the building envelope should be designed to achieve optimum ratio of gains and losses. This paper focuses on family houses. For different variants of houses with different envelope parameters the change of influence of glazing, shading and their possible optimum in terms of energy balance in winter and summer period is studied.
