Original language description
The paper presents partial results of the ongoing project about enhancement of web portals of maps for tourism using adaptive cartography. Its major part constitutes a pilot tourist web map portal, offering tools for custom compilation, visualization, and partially editing the data elements selves using geodatabases, WMS standard and other technologies the most effective way and allowing the map users to be more involved in the process of making a map suitable to their needs.
