Application of soil erosion models for evaluating efficiency of mitigation measures

Original language description

Participants trained GIS application for soil erosion and sediment transport assessment in medium to large catchment and simularted the effect of simple systematic control measures. GIS IDRISI and ARCGIS have been used and various data sources were usedto be processed as example for practising and training. Students also passed theoretical lectures, focussed on mathematical modeling of surface runoff, soil erosion and sediment transport.
