Fibre reinforced concrete for precast tunnel segments
Original language description
Fibre reinforced concrete with steel fibres may be efficiently used in precast segmental lining in tunnels. In the Czech Republic there is some experience with segments reinforced with classical bars. An extensive experimental program has been carried out in order to understand the performance of the fibre reinforced segments. It includes laboratory tests and large scale tests on segments. The paper will describe the tests simulating the loading of segments during construction and the other tests, whenthe segments are exposed to bending. The measured values will be compared with the results of the numerical analysis.
