FINITE-ELEMENT MODELING OF TIMBER-CONCRETE COMPOSITE FLOOR
Original language description
In recent years timber-concrete composite structures are becoming very important because they are widely used as an effective method for refurbishment of existing timber floors and for floors of new multi-storey timber houses. Timber is used as the maintensile load-bearing material due to its high strength-to-weight ratio, while concrete acts mainly in compression and is used in floor slabs for its advantages in stiffness and fire resistance. The subject of this paper is the numerical simulation of thebehavior of composite timber-concrete floor, consisting concrete slab and timber beams. The main point of this work is to explore the use of concrete slab with wooden beams and investigate the behavior of the load floor structure by using Ansys models.Accurancy of the numerical analysis of the timber-concrete composite structures fully depends on material models used in the analysis. This paper presents 3D FE model developed to predict the mechanical behaviour of timber-fibre concrete
