Original language description
Origins of the replica of wooden polychrome sculpture based on the latest non-destructive surveys, which exclude the need for risky moulding of the original for plaster or other artwork and shorten the lease of permanent exhibitions for minimum time as demanded by the owners. A combination of several - to the original - non-destructive techniques (CT-scanner, laser scanning, 3D printing, CNC machining, final hand carving and final polychrome technological realization) enables the formation of spatiallyexact copies using scanned digital data, without requiring the original statues, even in emergency condition, strain mechanically, preserve it or modify its surface in any way. 3D scanned data serve also as a permanent documentation of its status and itsoriginal form with the spatial accuracy of 0.1-1 mm.
