    Nedestruktivní zkoušení dřevěných prvků in-situ

  • Original language description

Timber structures represent an essential part of a large amount of historically significant buildings. Their condition affects life span of a whole building. Lot of methods and their combinations are used for engineering survey. Nondestructive and semi-destructive testing methods are preferred with respect to the historical value of timber elements. X-ray and microwaves methods belong to modern timber condition evaluation methods. The most commonly used methods in practice are resistance driving pin, resistance drilling, radial cores, ultrasound and their combinations. The subject of the author's research is to substitute semi-destructive penetration methods by radiometric measure of mass density.
