Reinforcement of Concrete Slabs on Shrinkage Effects
Original language description
Reinforcement of thick - usually foundation - slabs is designed to satisfy the two criteria: 1. Ultimate limit state and 2. Serviceability limit state, the crack width in particular. The paper is focused on the design of reinforcement limiting the crackwidth. The shrinkage development of concrete is described as a main reason for reinforcement. The minimum reinforcement according to Eurocode 2 is briefly discussed.
