    This paper deals with the influence of calcite on the thermal diffusivity of a ceramic material. Calcite is usually a part of ceramic bodies and, therefore, it is important to understand its effect on the properties of ceramic materials. The measurementswere carried out by the flash method. The analyzed ceramics samples were prepared with a calcite admixture of 0, 10, and 20 mass %. The temperature dependencies of the coefficient of thermal diffusivity up to 600 °C were obtained and their discussion isprovided.
