Wang tilings in Partition of Unity Methods
Original language description
We report on a new technique concerning the utilization of stochasticWang tilings to create enrichment functions for Partition of Unity methods that are compatible with spatial statistics of underlying material microstructure. In order to meet random nature of such constructions and further computational limitations, the Simulated annealing-based optimization, stochastic tiling algorithm and accelerated Fast Fourier Transform based solver are combined to arrive at optimal tile sets.
