Fundaments of mechanics of composite materials
Original language description
In the book, which can be considered the first part of a two-part work focused on the optimization of composite structures, the classical and modern original approaches to homogenization of material properties or to estimate the bounds of the material properties are summarized. The classical theories of the Hill, Levin, Eshelby and the classical and originally generalized Hashin-Shtrikmanovy variational principles are presented. In the second part of this monograph general approaches to the homogenization of composites for linearly elastic and debonding composites at the interface between the fibers and matrix are proposed. A work deals with approximate and numerical methods of homogenization, as the second part of this book is focused on the ellipticand hyperbolic problems of optimization based on the principles of homogenization.
