    In the introducing part of the article main calculating parameters of the deformation of track substructure caused by a vertical load are briefly described. Further, based on experimental measurements, results of diagnostics of substructure layers gainedby evaluating test on a full scale model are analyzed. The objective was to verify the effect of the geological composition of the materials, used in the construction, on the load-bearing capacity of the construction.
