Assessment of Strategies for Spatial Atmospheric Parameter Interpolations
Original language description
Along with increasing use of atmospheric data in geodetic applications, in particular for GNSS processing, various aspects need to be considered ? optimal parameter modelling, spatial interpolation, efficient transmissions and others. This poster is focused on assessing various interpolation techniques for this purpose. Generally speaking, spatial interpolation techniques are based on mathematical principles, where the basic idea is to find the function so that the approximation equally represents realvalues of the parameters in existing points/nodes. An alternative approach exploit statistical background information with emphasis on weight definition and finding mutual correlations between pairs of points from input data.
